Entwicklung von Sunbird und Lightning: Status-Update vom 04.10.2009

Zweimal haben wir ausgesetzt, diesmal sind wir wieder dabei und holen alles nach:
Auf dem Entwickler-Weblog wurde eine neue Übersicht über Fortschritte in der Entwicklung von Sunbird und Lightning veröffentlicht. Testfreudige können all diese Änderungen schon in den aktuellen DE-Nightlies bewundern.

Eine Neuerung möchte ich dabei besonders hervorheben:

  • Bug 516398: No Lightning pref UI in SeaMonkey
  • Bug 516407: Lightning 1.0pre doesn’t install in SeaMonkey 2.0b2

Robert Kaiser hat schon vor einigen Wochen darauf hingewiesen, dass derzeit ein lange gehegter Wunsch zahlreicher SeaMonkey-Nutzer mehr und mehr Wirklichkeit wird: Lightning 1.0pre lässt sich mittlerweile in SeaMonkey 2.0b2 installieren und testen. Da aber noch nicht alles so funktioniert, wie man sich das wünschen würde, freuen sich Kalender- wie Seamonkey-Team sicherlich über testwillige Nutzer, die das Paket SeaMonkey+Lightning einmal ausprobieren und auf Herz und Nieren prüfen.

Die in den letzten Wochen behobenen Fehler und eingearbeiteten Verbesserungen im Einzelnen:
 

  • Bug 328216: It is not possible to assign duration to a task
  • Bug 351321: Italic and bold font for high and low priority
  • Bug 378951: [Mac] non-functional button in About Sunbird dialog
  • Bug 392021: Event dialog: Option to delete event/task
  • Bug 397888: Get rid of anonymous functions
  • Bug 401032: Would be nice to be able to view calendar in a separate toplevel window
  • Bug 411849: Default date for add New Task is current day rather than the selected day
  • Bug 413387: Today-pane is broken in SeaMonkey+Lightning
  • Bug 413594: move alarm indication icon to the extreme right
  • Bug 430090: Collapsed state of Today pane is not remembered when dragging the splitter
  • Bug 431126: Revise calIItipTransport::defaultIdentity
  • Bug 435168: New Calendar Wizard shows empty focus box next to “Show Alarms” check box
  • Bug 443752: Dialog specific files should be moved into /calendar/base/content/dialogs/
